Your information and Kinward

Kinward uses the information you provide to operate your account and help you organize a digital-estate case. This page explains the information used to provide those account and case features.

Please do not enter highly sensitive information

Do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, or unnecessary government-ID numbers in Kinward. The Action Center is for organizing account references and your next steps, not for storing credentials or identity documents.

Account and authentication information

When you create or use a Kinward account, the application handles account details such as your name and email address, along with authentication and session information used to sign up, verify your email, sign in, and check access to your account.

Case information you choose to enter

A case may include a loved one’s name or case label; account or provider names; optional account identifiers; the action you are considering; status; next steps; notes; follow-up dates; and progress through the account-review prompts. You decide what to review and what details to enter. Kinward does not scan statements, email, devices, or accounts to discover them for you.

Purchase information

Online checkout is currently unavailable. If a purchase flow is offered, payment details are entered through its hosted checkout. Kinward’s application purchase record includes a checkout session identifier, offer, amount, currency, purchaser email, and payment-verification and access timestamps; it can also record the account associated with access. The application purchase record has no field for a full payment-card number. This describes the application record, not the payment provider’s separate handling of payment details.

How Kinward uses information

Kinward uses account information to provide sign-in and account access. It uses the case details you enter to show your cases, organize account actions, track statuses and follow-ups, and prepare your Digital Estate Status Report. Purchase records are used to verify and associate paid access with an account.

Access controls

The application requires sign-in and checks account access, purchase entitlement, and case ownership before returning private case or report information. These are application access controls; they are not a promise that every security risk can be prevented.

Kinward may provide links to third-party providers’ official processes. Those sites and providers set their own privacy practices, requirements, and eligibility. Review their information before deciding what to send directly to them. Kinward’s guidance does not mean a provider has reviewed, approved, or received your request.

Your choices and questions

You can review and update case details through the Action Center where those controls are available. The current application does not establish a published retention period or a deletion guarantee. Contact Kinward with questions about your account or information; no response time is promised.
